Apple iPhone Duo Price in Nepal, Specs and Features

Apple has finally entered the foldable smartphone market with the iPhone Duo, bringing a completely new form factor to the iPhone lineup. The phone folds down to a compact 5.4-inch device but opens up into a 7.6-inch display designed for multitasking, gaming and content consumption.

The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the US for the 256GB model and will be available in Star White and Night Sky. Pre-orders open on October 16, with sales beginning October 23, 2026.

The biggest change is obviously the design. When folded, the iPhone Duo has a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR outer display, while opening it reveals a 7.6-inch folding OLED display.

Both screens support ProMotion up to 120Hz, Always-On display and up to 3,000 nits of outdoor brightness. The inner screen also gets a nano-texture finish designed to reduce reflections and make the fold less noticeable.

Apple has used a Grade 5 titanium frame and a precision hinge with more than 100 components. The phone also carries an IP68 rating and uses Ceramic Shield protection on the exterior.

A20 Pro Powers the Foldable

The iPhone Duo is powered by Apple's new A20 Pro chipset, built on a 2nm process. It features a 6-core CPU, 7-core GPU and a dual 16-core Neural Engine for on-device AI workloads.

Apple says the A20 Pro delivers up to 20% faster CPU performance than the previous-generation A19 Pro, while its custom vapor chamber helps maintain performance during demanding workloads such as gaming and multitasking.

The combination of the large inner display and iOS 27 also allows users to run two apps side by side, open multiple windows and save app pairs for quick access.

Dual 48MP Camera System

Instead of the triple-camera setup found on Apple's Pro models, the iPhone Duo uses a dual 48MP Fusion camera system.

iOS 27 Is Built Around the Fold

Apple has redesigned iOS 27 to take advantage of the Duo's larger screen. Controls can move to the sides to free up vertical space, while the inner display can show multiple apps at once.

The phone also gets Apple's latest Siri AI and Apple Intelligence features, including onscreen awareness, personal context and AI-powered image editing tools.

Later this year, Apple will also add Apple Pencil with USB-C support, allowing users to take notes, sketch and mark up documents on either display.

Battery and Connectivity

The iPhone Duo uses a dual-battery architecture, with a battery on each side of the foldable body.

Apple claims up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and up to 44 hours using the outer display. With both displays being used equally, Apple rates the device for up to 24 hours of usage.

It can reach 50% charge in around 20 minutes with wired charging, while MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging can reach 50% in around 30 minutes. The phone is also eSIM-only, with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Apple's C2 cellular modem.

The iPhone Duo is less about being the first foldable and more about Apple's take on making foldables feel like an iPhone. The 7.6-inch display, A20 Pro performance and iOS 27 multitasking make it a compelling device for people who want a larger screen without carrying a tablet.

The compromises are just as important, though. It is expensive, weighs 254 grams, uses eSIM only, and its dual-camera setup lacks the longer telephoto hardware found on Apple's Pro models.
