Google Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL arrive with Tensor G6 and 120Hz LTPO displays

Google has officially introduced the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL as the premium models in its latest Pixel lineup. Both phones bring Google's new Tensor G6 chipset, upgraded AI capabilities, brighter LTPO OLED displays, a triple-camera system, and larger batteries.

The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL are positioned as Google's flagship smartphones, with the Pro XL offering a larger display and faster charging than the standard Pro. However, neither model has received an official launch in Nepal yet. Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL continue Google's familiar Pixel design language. Both phones feature a metal frame, matte glass back, and the signature horizontal camera bar across the rear.

Google has refined the camera bar for this generation, making it slimmer while also adding a new "HiLight" LED system. The lighting system can provide visual notifications and interact with Gemini-powered features, adding another way to receive information without constantly looking at the display.

The Pixel 11 Pro measures 152.7 x 71.9 x 8.4mm and weighs 204 grams, while the larger Pro XL measures 162.7 x 76.5 x 8.5mm and weighs 226 grams. Both models feature Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Moving to the displays, the Pixel 11 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED panel, while the Pro XL gets a larger 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display. Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother animations, scrolling, and gaming.

The displays can reach up to 3,600 nits peak brightness, making them considerably easier to view outdoors and under direct sunlight.

The primary difference between the two models is therefore their physical size and battery capacity. The underlying display technology and refresh rate remain largely the same.

Camera and Battery

For photography, Google has equipped both phones with the same triple-camera setup. This includes a 50MP primary camera, 48MP ultrawide camera, and 48MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.

Google's computational photography remains a major part of the Pixel camera experience. The telephoto camera can reach up to 120x Pro Zoom, combining optical hardware with computational processing for longer-range shots.

For selfies and video calls, both models feature a 42MP front-facing camera.

The camera improvements aren't limited to hardware. Google is also using the Tensor G6's processing capabilities and Gemini-powered features to improve photography, video, skin tones, low-light imaging, and other computational photography tasks.

On the battery front, the Pixel 11 Pro houses a 4,850mAh battery, while the larger Pro XL gets a 5,115mAh cell. Google claims both devices can provide more than 30 hours of battery life.

Charging is one area where the Pro XL gets a clear advantage. The Pixel 11 Pro supports 30W wired charging, while the Pro XL increases this to 45W. Both phones also support 25W magnetic wireless charging through Qi2.

The faster charging on the Pro XL allows Google to claim up to 75% battery in around 30 minutes, while the smaller Pro can reach around 55% in the same period.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by Google's new Tensor G6 chipset. Google says the new chip brings a significantly upgraded AI engine, with the company claiming up to 50% faster AI processing compared with the previous generation.

The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, giving the phones enough headroom for demanding multitasking, gaming, photography, and AI workloads.

On the software side, both phones ship with Android 17 and Google's latest Gemini Intelligence features.

Gemini can understand context across supported applications and perform multi-step tasks. Google has also introduced Rambler, which is designed to improve voice input by understanding more natural and less structured speech.

Another addition is expanded Live Translate, which can translate audio from supported videos, podcasts, and incoming voice messages.

For creators, Google has also introduced Creator Suite, offering tools such as an on-screen teleprompter and audio monitoring while recording. This could make the Pro models particularly interesting for users who create videos directly from their smartphones.

Google is promising seven years of OS and security updates, giving both devices a long-term software support cycle.

Google has officially launched the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL in India, but neither model has been officially launched in Nepal at the time of writing.

In India, the Pixel 11 Pro starts at INR 119,999 for the 12GB/256GB model, while the 16GB/512GB variant costs INR 134,999. Meanwhile, the Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at INR 134,999 for the 12GB/256GB configuration and goes up to INR 149,999 for the 16GB/512GB version.

Based on the Indian pricing and currency conversion, the expected Nepal pricing would start around NPR 192,099 for the Pixel 11 Pro and NPR 215,999 for the Pixel 11 Pro XL. These are conversion-based estimates, not official Nepal prices, and the final local price could be higher depending on taxes, distribution, and availability.

For users who prefer a smaller flagship, the Pixel 11 Pro makes more sense. If screen size, battery capacity, and faster charging are priorities, the Pro XL is the more capable option.
